
Dr Senen Gonzalez is an experienced Consultant Physician in Rehabilitation Medicine who has been in specialist practice for over 15 years and is also the Director and founder of Matrix Rehab Medicine.
Dr Gonzalez graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1999 and completed his Rehabilitation Medicine physician training in 2007.
Dr Gonzalez has extensive experience working in both the public and private health sectors and currently has public appointments within Northern Health, Austin Health and Monash Health. He also works privately with admitting rights to Dorset Rehabilitation Centre in Pascoe Vale, Brunswick Private Hospital in Brunswick, as well as private consulting rooms in Niddrie and works closely with allied health therapists, often conducting joint assessments for both the benefit and convenience of his patients.

Dr Gonzalez has a special interest in the management of spasticity, and has set-up a bulk-billing specialist clinic within Matrix Rehab Medicine to manage this condition, with outreach services to the community where travel is not possible for affected patients.
Dr Gonzalez is committed to providing a comprehensive, reliable and readily accessible service for his patients and referrers. This includes providing visits to nursing home residents, collaborative joint assessments with treating therapists (including at therapists clinics by mutual prior agreement) and provision of 100% bulk-billing services for all in-clinic spasticity patients.
A valid medical referral from another medical specialist or general practitioner is required in order to be seen. Dr Gonzalez also accepts TAC, Workcover and DVA patients. After hours consultations are available on a limited basis.
Outside of work, you will find him on the tennis court, a sport he loves with a passion; or cooking up a feast for family and friends, regularly hosting dinner parties which is his outlet and favourite way to relax and spend time with those he cares about.
