Spasticity clinic

Spasticity is a  problem that can result from numerous neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injury.

There are very effective treatments available for the management of spasticity, in addition to therapy input.   Dr. Senen Gonzalez has extensive experience in the assessment of spasticity and treatment options including oral and injectable medications.  Dr Gonzalez is happy to liaise with your own treating therapist to determine the best management plan, or can help link you in with an experienced neuro-physiotherapist and/or occupational therapist if required to help achieve the best outcomes possible.

Dr Gonzalez runs private clinics at his Essendon and Pascoe Vale rooms for the management of spasticity.  Dr Gonzalez also has a public health spasticity clinic at Broadmeadows Health Service, Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre and Kingston Centre.

In addition, Dr Gonzalez will see patients at their physiotherapist’s rooms (by mutual agreement) and also in nursing homes.
