Spasticity management service

Spasticity is a condition that results in tight (or spastic) muscles that can result from numerous neurological conditions such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and spinal cord injury.  This can often result in issues with pain, hygiene, impaired walking and upper limb function, posture and many other concerns.

There are very effective treatments available for the management of spasticity, in addition to therapy input.   The Matrix Rehab team has extensive experience in the assessment of spasticity and treatment options including oral and injectable medications.  We are also happy to liaise with your own treating therapist to determine the best management plan, or can help link you in with an experienced neuro-physiotherapist and/or occupational therapist if required to help achieve the best outcomes possible.
