Dr Linda Gonzalez is a senior and highly experienced paediatric and adult clinical neuropsychologist with a senior staff position at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, and now also working in private practice (Matrix Neuropsychology). She is also accredited at Dorset Rehabilitation Centre (Pascoe Vale) and Brunswick Private Hospital (Brunswick).
Dr Linda Gonzalez has over 20 years clinical and research experience, and currently lectures in all of the postgraduate neuropsychology programs offered in Melbourne (including University of Melbourne, Monash University and La Trobe University).
Linda’s approach to cognitive assessment focuses on identifying strengths as well as difficulties and developing individual recommendations to assist with learning. She tries to explain a person’s thinking skills in a way that makes sense to those that know the child/young person best and a way that fits with their function in day to day life.
Linda has a particular interest in epilepsy and the relationship between medical disorders and thinking.
Linda has expertise in neurodevelopment conditions such as ADHD and Learning Disorders. She is able to provide assessments that inform eligibility for integration support. She can also assist typically developing children and young people to help them understand their learning style and optimize their performance at school/university. Her approach is warm, encouraging and individual.
