Dr Marina Demetrios has worked as a Rehabilitation Medicine Physician since 2008. Her special interests include spasticity management and neurorehabilitation. In 2016 she completed the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences) at the University of Melbourne in these areas. Her research has been published in the Cochrane Database and Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine.

Dr Marina Demetrios also practices at The Royal  Melbourne Hospital in the neurorehabilitation and spasticity clinics, at St Vincent’s Hospital (public) in the transition service for young adults with complex disability and at Donvale Rehabilitation Hospital.
